We are using 6.1/Gnome/Enlightenment with 1.1.7_v3 without any
problems, even with our Java application Cinderella (demo available
at http://www.cinderella.de/demo/download.html), that uses the
GUI quite a lot (it's an interactive geometry software). IBM's 1.1.8
seems to work quite well now, too (after some problems with their beta).
We did not try using 1.2 yet.
