Why is Java trying to place the window at all when Java doesn't
support window placement? Why not just let the window manager decide
where to put it? I've never understood this.
I'm sympathetic to the problems of dealing with icky X window
managers. For what it's worth, I was always happy with how JDK worked
under WindowMaker.
I bet Xt's code works with this pretty well.
