Hi

There's the source for Netscape/Mozilla available from www.mozilla.org
and from the same URL you can get the source an approach to create an
entire webbrowser in Java that Netscape abandoned but it still being
developed by volunteers.

You schould not underestimate the platform independence of the Netscape
browser itself. It's ported to an enormous number of platforms, I beleive
that it actually holds sort of a world record for largest application
proted to the most platforms.
