Don't forget that Java 2 has a finer granularity security manager. I would
suggest the following steps. Verify your program works locally, then
locally with rmi and then remotely with rmi. You could run strace -f -p <pid>
on rmiregistry or attach jdb to rmiregistry (I believe you can start it in
debug mode)
