This variant is for installation with a Java2 SDK
Installation:

% tar xvfI <downloadpath>/java3d1_2-FCS-linux-i386-sdk.tar.bz2
* java3d1_2-FCS-linux-i386-sdk.tar.bz2: Java3D 1.2 Runtime Environment
This variant is for installation with a Java2 Runtime Environment
Installation:
% cd <Java2 RE Installation>
% tar xvfI <downloadpath>/java3d1_2-FCS-linux-i386-re.tar.bz2

Java Advanced Imaging 1.0.2 Beta:

The release consists of two files:
* jai1_0_2-beta-lib-linux-i386.tar.bz2: JAI runtime files
Installation:
% cd <Java2 SDK Installation>
% tar xvfI <downloadpath>/jai1_0_2-beta-lib-linux-i386.tar.bz2
* jai1_0_2-beta-sample-linux.tar.bz2: JAI demos (optional)
Installation:
% cd <Java2 SDK Installation>
% tar xvfI <downloadpath>/jai1_0_2-beta-sample-linux.tar.bz2
Note that this is a beta release. The reason for this is a somewhat
unclear JCK situation: It looks like the JCK for JAI was written for
Java2 v1.2 and JAI 1.0.1 originally, this seems to cause a 2 failures
when testing JAI 1.0.2 with Java2 v1.2.2.
