Hallo!

IMHO, Forte is best when you have to design GUIs, it's just click and drop 
then - I also wouldn't like to miss the GridBagLayout editor, which makes it 
very easy to get all the parameters of the GridBagLayout right, although the 
preview of the gui is not always correct. Forte also handles 
ActionListeners, you just have to supply the code.

On the whole Forte is very usable, and stable - i have been working with 
Forte for 3 months now without crash.

In my experience, memory is god in java - the more the better. 256MB are 
ideal - forte is reasonably fast then..
