We are in search of a Lead Engineer with strong enterprise experience in
Java (J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, etc.), XML/XSL/XSLT, and Oracle 8i.

You will be leading projects that incorporate extensive use of the server
side MVC pattern with JSP and Java Servlet technology. These new and
cutting edge development projects will make use of J2EE EJB's processing
information contained in an Oracle 8i (version 8.1.6) database that produces
XML result sets to a middle tier, which renders the site with XSLT
technology. This site also makes use of Apache Web Server technology. The
current application server used is Allaire's jRun version 3.0 and current
content syndication applications under development employ a loosely coupled
JMS compliant architecture that produces real-time syndication to affiliate
partner web sites.

Future technology developments will include the companies wireless site that
includes PQA, WAP and AvantGo technology. The current site is also being
prepared for deployment in several European countries.

Our client is highly established and a serious success story. Their site is
getting 7 million hits per day, however still has not gone public but gone
through their mezzanine round of funding. They will be going live with this
site in Spain, France, UK, and Germany, and are also working on developments
in Latin America besides having a new wireless division.

This is one of the hottest companies in LA. They are in a beautiful area of
the Water Gardens in Santa Monica and have a gym/fitness club, pool, tennis
courts, and sand volleyball court. They cater lunch twice a week, and have
free snack and soda machines. The office is new and all hardwood (no
cubicles) and excellent benefits starting immediately. This position is
very crucial to the success of future developments and hence the company
will be very liberal with stock as well as salary.
