Which version of netscape do you use? navigator-smotif-475 4.75-2
works for me.

I'll upload a glibc-2.2 build soon, although the current version works
without problems on woody here.

The latest available version is a glibc-2.1.3 build which is included
in the Java2 SDK and RE v1.3.0.

For Netscape 4.x the plug-in does not replace netscape's internal JVM,
it only gets used if requested by the HTML code.
For Mozilla/Netscape 6 the plug-in is used for all applets.

    Bruno> Other question, since i already have a JVM installed,

The *.deb packages (j2sdk1.3 and j2re1.3) automatically enable the
plugin for use with the Debian packages of Netscape 4.x and Mozilla.
The tarballs for 1.3.0 also include the plug-in, see the INSTALL file.
In both cases you should remove older plug-in installations before
using the new one.
