I realize that this is a Linux-Java list and this entire thread may be
inappropriate. However, the "-remote " option to open a specific URL in
Netscape is available only under Linux/Unix. On other platforms, your only
option seems to be to launch netscape with a URL which will cause a new
Netscape window to be displayed.
We are also involved in a project which must run across a range of platforms
and launch a new Netscape or cause a different URL to be displayed in an
EXISTING Netscape window. So far nothing has worked (outside of Linux)
including the code which was posted within this thread.
