This is the kind of thing that really slows down Java development! And some try to say that open source developers have a bias against Java! Nonsense. I understand that we are all constrained by larger forces here and that Sun doesn't have it in them to go all the way (i.e. GPL). If those of you who work at Sun could just let your managers know our pain? Perhaps we could have easier access to the sources, all of them? Dreamin in SF....
