A while back I asked a question on this list about video4linux support in
jmf. I was having trouble getting anything but a blue screen from my
BT878 tv tuner card. Several people pointed out that it was likely the
tuner was set to the wrong input, and suggested using various utilities to
set it correctly. Thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions!

I finally decided to look into the source for the problem and found that
the V4LSourceStream class explicitly sets the input to "Composite" every
time it is started. I changed it to "Television", recompiled, and it is
now working for me. I noticed a number of "TODO's" in the jmf source,
including one for configuring and setting the correct input.

Has there been any development on the linux jmf implementation recently?
Is there a way to submit patches for consideration in the blackdown jmf
implementation?

Thanks,

Jonathan
