I am just wondering which should be preferred , either Sun Java or Blackdown's Java? I would appreciate if someone can clear my misconceptions. Are there any specific reasons that are to be looked at in selecting either Sun Java or Blackdown java ? Thanking you in advance.... It's a bug in RH 9: http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=90301 RedHat has a fix for the problem but hasn't yet released an update of their glibc RPM. You have two options to work-around this bug: * Use our gcc-2.95 build * Use the gcc-3.2 build with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 (this will disable the use of NPTL) Or bug RedHat until they release a fixed glibc RPM. > One more doubt...
