Title: TECHNICAL WRITER Location: Omaha, NE Duration: 6 Months Rate: 28/Hour all inclusive Job Duties & Responsibilities Position Overview: We are looking for a technical writer to create a developer guide and standards for our move to a service-oriented architecture. The applicant should be experienced in working in a fast-paced information technology environment creating software and process documentation which is both textual and graphical in nature. Ideal candidate will possess: • Five years experience as a technical writer Ability to easily interact with developers to gather technical and process specifications • Ability to work with limited direction and possess good time management skills • Ability to create templates and standards for net new documentation • Ability to work to meet deadlines Base Skillset Required: • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) Microsoft Sharepoint Adobe Acrobat • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts and terminology • Familiarity with object-oriented concepts, particularly Java Requirements/fact gathering Extended Skillset (Desired for Position): • Unified Modeling Language (UML) for documenting use case, deployment, component, sequence views, etc. • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile and waterfall approaches Process documentation (workflow and sequence diagrams) • Familiarity with infrastructure components (servers, network, storage, etc.) • Familiarity with relational databases • Extended Skillset (Considered a Plus) Familiarity with TIBCO product suite (ActiveMatrix, EMS, BusinessWorks, etc.) Regards, Monty Singh Technical Recruiter Ask IT Consulting You Ask We Deliver!
