Title: SQL DBA/Developer Location: Miami, FL Duration: 10 Month Rate: 25-28/hr on C2C all inclusive Need Local Consultant. Description: • Administrator/Developer with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server for a contract-to-perm position. • The Mid-level DBA will be responsible for assisting the Senior Database Administrator on the following tasks: • Meeting enterprise requirements by planning and developing database architecture, utilization policies, backup and migration procedures. Gathering and documenting database architecture and business requirements. • Development and analysis of complex SQL scripts to meet the business users requirements. • Design and development of Data Warehouse solutions. • Installation, configuration and administration of MS SQL Servers (2005 and 2008) Design and development of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes Performing quality testing prior to UAT. • Reporting progress throughout the project life cycle. Required: • The position will require 50% on MS SQL Server 2005/2008 administration and 50% on SQL development tasks. Candidates must have experience on both sides. • Projects are tailored to our supply chain business needs and they include, supply, packaging, services, distribution, inventory management, invoicing, and billing. Ideal candidate must have: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. • 4+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration and development • Clear understanding and mastery of Transactional SQL Scripting. • Experience with large table partitioning Support ETL development efforts to load data into enterprise data warehouse. • Help select best design and model for database architecture to better accommodate business requirements. • Implement complex hierarchies, implement role attributes and versioning, design the schema for optimal performance, use logical views to solve data modeling and schema design issues, and optimize query performance. • Experience with data warehouse design and implementation a plus Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for project success and by exploring opportunities to add value to them. • Create and manage database documentation and standards. Required technical skills: • SQL ANSI, DBMS Applications/Vendors MS SQL 2005, 2008, SSIS (Integration Services), SSRS (Reporting Services), SSAS (Analysis Services), WhereScape RED, Oracle, Netezza, Teradata. • Experience with Enterprise DataWarehouse is a plus Experience with databases in a clustered environment is a plus Required non-technical skills: • Strong oral and written communication skills Self-starting initiative Experience with systems designed to support supply chain/manufacturing/distribution activities preferred.
