Title: ASP software engineer Location: Alexanderia, VA Duration: 6 Month Rate: 38/hr all inclusive Need US Citizen only. Prefer Local or nearby Consultant. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Assist with upgrading an application from classic ASP to ASP.NET. Participate in unit testing of new application for functionality. • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. • Ensures software standards are met. SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Experience with Object oriented development,Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET and C# Experience in testing frameworks such as n-Unit. • Web design/CSS development experience. • Understanding of Database design (SQL) and Source Safe Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. • Considered an emerging authority. • They prefer someone with an interim or secret clearance, if you don't have one, that's ok, but you MUST BE CLEARABLE. • Please contact me should you be interested.
