Title: Actuate Developer with reports
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary: Performs analysis, creates reports, and works closely with
project leaders to deliver requirements brought about through internal
initiatives and client requests.
Technical Requirement:
Actuate Version 8
• Volume administration and maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot server issues without assistance from Actuate
support
• Ability to develop and troubleshoot dynamic reports
• Strong VB 6 syntax and programming knowledge
• Intermediate java knowledge
• nowledge of Actuate services (encyclopedia, factory, message, view)
SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
• Ability to create and troubleshoot stored procedures, views, functions,
and tables
• Basic knowledge of administration (permissions, linked servers)
SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008
• Ability to develop and troubleshoot complex report designs
• Understanding of windows domain group and privileges associated to reports
• Strong VBA knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
MS Access
• Ability to reverse engineer and troubleshoot multiple nested layers of
queries, macros and modules in order to convert to SQL Server
• Ability to create queries for ad-hoc reporting
• Excellent VBA knowledge
Other skills
• Ability to create process/data flow diagrams, as well as system
infrastructure maps
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Assist project leaders with business and functional requirement documents,
estimating level of effort, and timely completion of assigned tasks
• Understanding of Development Life Cycle
Position
Specifications: Bachelor/Associate degree, preferably in the field of
Information Technology. Two to four years of related experience. Strong
knowledge of SQL Server, Actuate, and relational databases
