Title: .Net consultant with Sybase exp Location: NYC, NY Duration: 3-6 Months The consultant should have the experience with equities Description: • Develop and support Client Analytics applications and tools, CAT products, focusing primarily on EDGE, a client facing WEB-based application. • Coordinate and participate with New York, London, and Singapore team members. In addition to receiving assignments from CAT management, interface directly with the business for ad hoc assignments. Main Duties/Responsibilities: • BAU support of the EDGE and the Client Analytics suite of tools; code development as directed by business initiatives • EDGE web content enhancements • Engineer the transition to browse rneutral/web standards for Edge; spearhead migration off of current framework • Due to the global user base, will need to work off hours on occasion to coordinate, plan, guide, and assist the London and Asia Pacteams. • Experience/Skills required: • 2 to 5 years experience in software development • At least 4years Experience developing web applications • Database development with one or more of Sybase ASE 12; Sybase ASE 15; Sybase IQ; Oracle • Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science • Strong C#; ASP.NET; or Java or C++ • Multithreaded programming • Experience with high volume, high through put systems is desirable • Messaging technologies • Familiarity with equities, options, FX, futures order state systems is desirable • Experience developing windows services • Trading and Sales floor working experience is a nice-to-have • Knowledge of web standards and common practices such as XHTML, CSS, W3C DOM, WCAG/Section508 Monty Singh Technical Recruiter Ask IT Consulting You Ask We Deliver!
