Title: Sharepoint Developer Location: Niagra Falls, NY Duration: Long-term contract PREFERS US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD OR TN VISA OR EAD IF POSSIBLE Job Description- SharePoint Applications Developer JOB PURPOSE: • The Applications Developer will develop computer software applications based on the Microsoft development tools and platforms for Client. • This position is responsible for the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of in-house and/or packaged software, primarily integrated with SharePoint. SCOPE: • Operates under regular supervisory review. Responsible for developing, testing and maintaining the software for a business unit on a national and/or global basis. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Participates in analysis and design of standard IT-based solutions and provides hands-on expertise for implementing solutions following well-defined policy and processes. • Collaborates with clients and/or colleagues to identify requirements. • Develops custom web applications. • Creates end-user software interfaces (e.g., pages, forms, buttons, fields, navigation, etc.) • Assesses moderately complex technologies and recommends multi-faceted solution options to business management. • May work as part of a cross-functional team to support the corporate intranet. • May coordinate and/or participate in mid-size to large projects. • Resolves moderately complex issues, and when necessary, escalates issues to appropriate levels of management as required. • May work with other members of Corporate IT department on behalf of the business customers. • Participates in projects utilizing developed policy and process to complete assigned tasks. • Assists and mentors less experienced applications developers. • Creates technical and user documentation. EDUCATION: • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study is preferred. EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 5 years development experience with custom web application development, using C# and ASP .NET technology is required. • Advanced technical knowledge within the Microsoft tools and platform is required. • Must be able to act as a technical lead and mentor for other developers. • Strong experience developing and deploying SharePoint/MOSS 2007 solutions; including integrating custom .ASPX forms is preferred. • MS SQL 2005 skills including database modeling and creating stored procedures is preferred. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
