Title: Sr. SharePoint Consultant Location: NYC, NY Duration: 5 Months Mandatory Requirements: 1. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, and /or Information Systems or equivalent relevant experience. 2. 4+ years experience working in a consulting environment 3. 3+ years of experience with Active Directory 4. Strong experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 User Interface Design and Development 5. Proficiency in customizing and branding MOSS 2007 Sites and Team Sites, using SharePoint Designer 6. Hands-on experience with User Interface design and development, utilizing DHTML/HTML, XML/XSLT, and/or CSS 7. Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize their work schedule to maximize performance with little or no supervision 8. Expert knowledge of Office Client Suite Integration, Forms Services, Reporting Services and/or Excel Services 9. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with clients, co-workers, team members, and company subcontractors 10. Ability to read and interpret documents such as requirements documents, installation instructions, technical articles and procedure manuals 11. Ability to write clear, concise reports, requirement definitions, and correspondence 12. Experience writing requirements documentation and design documentation for MOSS 2007 and/or SharePoint Portal Server and/or WSS sites 13. Ability to lead an implementation team consisting of other junior SharePoint consultants Desirable Experience: 1. MCTS 70-630: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 -- Configuration Certification 2. MCTS 70-542: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 -- Application Development Certification 3. Knowledge of third party add-ons to SharePoint 4. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 5. Demonstrated ability to develop rapid prototypes 6. Proficiency in the SharePoint Object Model Description: The consultant will be required to analyze the overall business and systems needs of HPD, architect solutions in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and plan the activities necessary to deliver SharePoint solutions. Additionally, the Senior SharePoint Consultant will implement and/or direct the successful implementation of SharePoint solutions. The Senior SharePoint Consultant will be an integral part of the project team, helping to foster trusted relationships and assisting HPD in realizing maximum value from their investment in SharePoint technologies. In this role, the consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing a superlative user experience in SharePoint for HPD. Responsibilities 1. Evaluate HPD's business needs and document them as business requirements 2. Hands-on involvement in the full development cycle, including design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and documentation 3. Implement rich client experiences in SharePoint, developed utilizing Data View Web Parts, InfoPath forms and Query with SharePoint Designer, interacting with Web Services, Browser Forms, InfoPath Form Services, Excel Services, SQL Reporting Services, and Microsoft Project Server 4. Serve as a technical subject matter expert to users, customers and other team members 5. Plan and execute strategies to deploy version upgrades for user interfaces 6. Keep up with technology and interface design to help our SharePoint practice grow by constantly championing better ways to provide our clients with improved (and richer) experiences on SharePoint 7. Develop an approach, plan activities and estimate the level of effort that lead to meeting project objectives 8. Contribute to business development activities such as the development of presentations, proposals and proof of concept in MOSS 2007 Job Description: Consultant will work with HPD FTE to standardize the current implementation of SharePoint for project management and develop new implementations for work collaboration across business units The consultant will be required to have his/her own voice/data activated blackberry-based cellular phone during the contract period. Prior to the start of the contract performance, the selected consultant will contact the HPD Point of Contact under the contract to have their Blackberry phone connected to HPD’s email system.
