Job Title: WebSphere Commerce Developer Location: Danbury, CT or Buffalo, NY Duration: 12 Months Position Summary • The Websphere Commerce Developer will develop interfaces based on the Oracle Websphere Commerce tools and platforms for Client. • The resource will be involved in a variety of roles within the software development lifecycle such as designing, programming, troubleshooting, testing, and deploying integration solutions. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for conveying technical solutions to peers and clients. • Individual is expected to have advanced technical knowledge within the Websphere Commerce tools & platform and receive technical direction from the assigned Project Manager. Responsibilities: • Design and develop Java-based Commerce applications • Custom Commerce application development • Load catalog data • Test, debug, and resolve software defects, delivering high quality units of work • Create technical and user documentation • Follow the Client project and development methodology • Regularly communicate task and project status to management • Work independently to develop software applications • Work on-site at client location for short or long-term project engagements • Take direction from Client technical lead or project manager • Perform other duties as may be assigned Position Requirements and Skills: • DB2 skills • Minimum 2 years Java/J2EE development experience • Knowledge of integrating WebSphere Commerce to back-end systems using MQ messaging and web services is preferable • Experience working with the catalog and member subsystems • Websphere Commerce 7 experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Education & Experience: • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study.
