Title: Technical Writer Location: Bethesda, MD Duration: 6 Months Green Cards and USC EAD is accepted, no H1-B. Face to Face interview is required after telephonic. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Technical Writing: 5-9 years • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication. • Able to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced technical environment • The ability to use diagramming programs such as MS Visio for graphically depicting system and business process flows. • 5+ years of Technical documentation or Technical writing experience. • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Information Management • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with project managers and technical staff as well as business users • Must have completed or have experience on at least technical documentation for one application development lifecycle. PREFERRED SKILLS: • Knowledge of system analysis and project management is a plus • Knowledge of Data Warehouse methodology a plus • Have some experience with document management tools such as MS SharePoint RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop a variety of technical and project related documentation including technical manuals, user guides, as well as project management life cycle and software development life cycle artifacts. • Review and edit documentation produced by technical and non-technical personnel including technical articles, white papers, and presentations. • Outline, rewrite, edit, and format proposals that fully comply with customer requirements in terms of both content and format. • Ensure that documentation is accurate, complete, meets government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. • Responsible for schedule and status reporting ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: No clearance needed, rate card or project rate which ever is lower.
