Title: Business Analyst
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 7-9 Months

The consultant should have the experience with financial domain.

Required Skills:
• 5 years Financial Services experience required, understanding of Capital
Markets, understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and KYC requirements a plus.
• Experience in documenting User Requirements.
• Experience in system testing
• Proficient of MS Office applications; specifically, MS Project, MS Word
and MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.  Visio skills also desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
• Database skills - Functional understanding of database table structures,
basic SQL skills.
• Ability to work directly with developers on the interpretation of
functional needs.
• Analytical Skills, Documentation skills, MS Access, MS Excel, MS
PowerPoint, MS Project 
• The individual must be able to work independently to meet assigned
"deliverable" deadlines and to coordinate projects.  
• The individual must also be effective at building team a consensus,
assigning tasks and keeping the group on target. 

Description:
• Responsible for acting as the primary interface between technology
infrastructure and a specific business functional area (e.g., fixed-income,
investment management). 
• Incumbents identify business unit requirements, create project and process
specifications, coordinate with project teams and ensure that projects are
on schedule and within budget. 
• May have a dual reporting relationship to technology and to business
functional unit management. 
• Responsible for the design, development and support of systems within the
Risk Management area. 
• Incumbents work with technologies that support Credit Risk Management,
Market Risk Monitoring and Reporting, and Operational Risk. 
• Fortis CARS/AML project
Tasks:
• Work with users to determine and document business needs.
• Liaise with developers on the technical interpretation of functional
needs.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including Project Initiation
Document, Functional Specification, Project Plan, UAT test plan and issue
logs on JIRA.
• Write functional specifications for new systems or necessary enhancements
to existing systems for developers.
• Test new/enhanced applications and "de-bug" with developers.
• Write UAT test plan and test scripts for users to follow.  Coordinate UAT
with departments involved and hold status meetings to assess progress.
• Write user guides and provide user training on new applications or new
functionality.
• Provide functional support for new applications and liaise with developers
as needed.
