Title: WINDOWS SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 3 Months CTH Need local (DFW/FTW) person, great customer communicator, record of self-managed accomplishment with remote direction, good attendance, not afraid of on-call duties, etc. • JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Windows System Administrator (Admin) in the IT Infrastructure department you will provide 24x7 operational support of Windows/Wintel infrastructure systems in Las Colinas, Texas. As an Administrator the individual will coordinate Heat and Change management tickets. The Windows System Administrator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of WINTEL/LINUX hardware, tape backup, tape administration, security hardening for the environment located in Las Colinas. Document and enforce procedures for maintaining, upgrading, and responding to service outages on the production network. Provide engineering advice and guidance to customers and network engineers on technical issues and troubleshooting procedures, participate in project activities and on occasion’s function as project technical lead. Occasionally, meet with customers and project teams to better understand their current and future WINTEL/LINUX requirements. Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture Solutions Board to identify technical solutions to support customer requirements and improve overall service availability and maintainability. Participate in the Infrastructure team activities, and on committees such as the change management, service management, and incident management teams. Attend the Operations Review meetings and provide monthly operating metrics and status updates for operational activities and assigned projects. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Windows 2003 administration , installation, configuration - experienced • Familiarity with Windows 2003 Active Directory • HP/Dell Server hardware installation, configuration, and administration including stand alone, blades P and C class, and HP storage arrays - experienced • Experience with multi vendor multi operating system distributed applications • Experience with Veritas NetBackup tape backup/restoration and AppWorx production control/job scheduling systems REQUIRED EDUCATION: • Bachelors degree (or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree) and 6 years of related experience. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: • Linux Red Hat 5 administration, installation, and configuration – experienced • MCSE and Citrix experience a plus.
