Title: Senior Business Analyst Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 1 year The consultant should have the experience with Banking domain Required Skills and Experience: The person selected will be a key member of a multi-year project to transition critical software application functionality from a mainframe legacy platform to a reengineered distributed platform, and will have experience with gathering and documenting business requirements. The person selected will join the FedACH CBAF Business Planning & Support team, with focus on gathering and documenting business requirements in the form of use cases. Work environment includes an agile UP software development methodology, collaborative work environment, and iterative development with a high level of team interaction. Must have skills: • Requires eight years of business analysis experience to include five years of use case writing experience. • Requires experience leading JAR (Joint Application Requirement) sessions consisting of business architects, developers, data modelers and business subject matter experts. • User interface design experience. • In addition to use case writing, requires experience and familiarity with activity diagramming and interpreting data models. • Requires experience in working on large, complex software development projects. • Demonstrated skill in estimating and tracking progress of tasks, as well as in making recommendations for adjusting project plans as needed. • Must have experience resolving complex problems in a team setting, including evaluation of options to determine optimal solution. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team. a. Strong conflict resolution skills using a win/win approach. b. Strong written communication skills. c. Communicates proactively in a project environment with colleagues and management on a wide variety of project issues. d. Communicates effectively with various stakeholders and team members, including other Business Analysts, Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, Customer Service and the management team. Key Deliverables: • Draft use cases through collaboration with Business Architects and interviews with Subject Matter Experts. • Lead working Joint Application Requirements (JAR) sessions to review and refine use cases. • Gain approval of use cases by JAR team members. • Design screen/UI mockups to accompany textual use cases when applicable. • Establish project plans to plan, manage and track key tasks and milestones related to requirements definition. • Collaborate with Development staff to understand priorities and deliver use cases in a timely manner per Development’s work plan. • Provide status to program and project managers regarding requirements definition tasks. • Analysis and leadership tasks as assigned.
