Responsibilities include the specification, design, development, testing, documentation and implementation of server-side software applications utilizing C++, C, Java, and SQL. The software developer will be responsible for solving intriguing problems with our latest technology, and partner with other team members, customers, and vendors throughout the entire project lifecycle. *Qualifications* · BS in Computer Science or related field. MS in Computer Science or related field is desired. · Five or more years of experience developing multithreaded and distributed application software systems. · Five or more years of experience developing software applications with *C++, C, Java, and SQL in a Unix environment. Perl and shell scripting* is a plus. · Five or more years of experience utilizing formal development methodologies. · Familiarity with technologies such as MPEG video compression, video/audio coding, ATSC, satellite communications, and TCP/IP networking is desired. · Strong problem solving and analytical skills. · Excellent written/verbal communication skills. *Additional Requirements* · Good analytical skills, detail oriented, quick study, and self-motivated. · Able to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. · Ability to multitask within an environment of rapidly changing priorities. · Proactively solve problems and be a team player. · Effective time management and communication skills a must. · Experience with analysis and support of production/live systems a plus.
