*Oracle Database Administrator* Location:*Boston, MA* Hours Needed Per Week: *40* Length of Time Needed: *1 Year* Number of Positions: *2* ** *IN PERSON INTERVIEW IS A MUST!!!* *General Qualifications:* oStrong written and verbal communication skills oAbility to work individually or within a team environment oAbility to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines oProvide technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members oPerform research and analysis for problem resolution oShare on call support 7 x 24 for DOT RMV IDMS databases oSole responsibility for 7 x 24 support for DOR RMV Oracle databases ** *Required ORACLE skills:* •Expert level knowledge and experience with Oracle RAC on Windows servers with ASM for Oracle 10g and above (At least three years Oracle experience) •Knowledge of Oracle database architecture (components and processes of the database) for Oracle 10g and above (At least three years Oracle experience) •Knowledge of and experience with Oracle backup and recovery techniques using Oracle RMAN •Knowledge of data modeling and database design for OLTP applications using modeling tools (ERWin or Oracle designer, etc.) •Advanced SQL skills •Knowledge of and experience with PL\SQL programming (at least three years experience) •Ability to perform database and SQL performance analysis and to make tuning changes Desirable ORACLE skills: oData warehousing design skills oData warehouse ETL skills oKnowledge of developing with MS.NET oExperience with mainframe (Z/OS) data and interfaces *Required IDMS skills:* •Minimum four years experience in business systems development utilizing IDMS in conjunction with IBM Assembler, CICS, CULPRIT, DML, DMLO, OLQ, COBOL, MVS •Minimum four years prior experience with migrations, unload/reloads, restructuring, and performance/tuning •Demonstrated experience using IBM MVS Job Control Language (JCL) and Utilities •Demonstrated experience using all IDMS batch and on-line utilities •Demonstrated troubleshooting skills used in analyzing dumps to determine root cause of batch and on-line abends •Advanced working knowledge of IDMS DB/DC control structures, operational philosophy, nomenclature and semantics I look forward to hear from you and hope that I can be a help in your job quest.
