*QA Analyst (2 positions)* Location: *Los Angeles, CA* Duration: *6 months+* REPORTS TO: Manager, Quality Assurance WORKS WITH: Various departments HOURS: Full-Time Exempt Local candidates only. Note: The manager expects the candidates to be able to explain their testing background in advance technical detail. *POSITION OVERVIEW:* As a key member of the QA team, this individual will be responsible for contributing to qualifying product deliverables in a thorough, methodical, and timely fashion. This person will be responsible for analyzing product requirements, producing test requirements and developing and executing functional/system test plans for a multi-tiered environment. The right candidate will be able to quickly learn business and data requirements for various web, IVR and client/server applications. They will have a strong background in business and data analysis and should be self-motivated to learn and follow through with assignments. This individual will view him/herself as a true professional in the software Quality Assurance field. *DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS* •Create test plans, test requirements and test data for use during the functional and system test phases of the software development process for new and existing applications. •Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of products, business processes and data requirements. •Participate in software requirements reviews, design reviews, test case reviews and change control activities. •Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities. •Interact and communicate effectively with end-users, developers and fellow team members when reporting and documenting open issues. •Adhere to all policies and procedures concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information, including Protected Consumer Information (PCI) and Protected Health Information (PHI). •Adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and procedures. •Administer duties as defined by the performance review plan within the required deadlines. •Other duties as assigned by supervisor. *QUALIFICATIONS:* •3 to 5 years in a hands-on technical software quality assurance role testing client server and/or web-based applications. •Extensive experience with SQL and RDBMS systems with the ability to write complex database queries. •Good understanding of the fundamentals of web, web services and HTTP(S) architectures. •Strong problem solving and analytical skills. •Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight. •Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. •Good understanding of quality assurance processes, testing methodologies and software development life-cycle processes. *PREFERRED:* •BA/BS or graduate degree in computer science or related technical field •5+ years software quality assurance experience •QA experience in enterprise-level software implementations •Experience with MS SQL Server I look forward to hear from you and hope that I can be a help in your job quest.
