Duration: *1 yr contract* *IN PERSON INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED!!!* Skills: *xml ,web service, rup , RequisitePro ,test plan, database, data access, data structure, data model* *MANDATORY EXPERIENCE:* 1. Minimum of eight (8) years experience with writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions; environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid range, personal computers, laptop; available to assist and/or lead in the design of program specifications and the implementation of software solutions. 2. Candidate must have skill and experience in working with end users to determine detailed business requirements. 3. Candidate must have skill and experience analyzing and documenting current (as is) and future (to be) business processes. 4. Candidate must have skill and experience developing and documenting business requirements in the form of use cases, process flow diagrams, and various other types of diagrams (e.g. State diagram, Context diagram). 5. Candidate must have skill and experience with desktop tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. 6. Candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to produce clear and well organized documents. Experience must include communication with users at all levels including management or executive level staff. Candidates must also have three (3) of the preferred skilled sets listed below. Accordingly, candidates not meeting the supporting experiential specifications below will not be considered for the position. 1. Experience with the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and the IBM RequisitePro software tool. 2. Functional knowledge of Criminal Justice processes or organizations. 3. Experience in requirement gathering for web based and enterprise scale applications. 4. Experience in developing and executing test plans. 5. Experience in developing training material and conducting user training. NOTE: There will be some travel required within the local Albany area (to other State Agencies), and occasionally to other locations around the State such as New York City, local Probation Departments or Correctional facilities.
