*Job Role: JAVA UI Developer – 4 Positions* ** *Duration: 12 Months Contract* ** *Work Location: New Jersey* ** *Interview Mode: Telephonic * * * *Responsibilities: *The main responsibilities of the individual in this position are definition, architecture, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the Primary Business Systems. The candidate will provide technical leadership in software application development of the user interface and user experience for the new e-Commerce solution. The candidate is also responsible for the following: * Hands-on position with emphasis on *User Interface/User Experience software development expertis*e. * Provides technical guidance to other staff and management. * System analysis, design, hands-on development and software architecture proposals. * Plays a Subject Matter Expert role in several key areas of business and software systems. * Reports progress and activity to project leader and/or manager on a continuing basis. The position includes implementing a state of the art ecommerce solution using industry best practices and staying up to date on emerging trends in order to implement them when appropriate. The incumbent will work hand in hand with system and application developers and business partners to define and implement standards in this area. The person in this position requires 7 years hands on analysis and programming experience, out of which at-least 3-5 years in the development of enterprise applications utilizing software frameworks (e.g..: Spring, Hibernate, Struts, and JUnit technologies for implementing User Interface solutions). The candidate must demonstrate strong user experience design skills. Certification in other tools including Java, J2EE is an added advantage. The candidate must have good understanding of the behavior, capabilities and best practices of software development using user-centered design concepts. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team, as well as with all levels of management. *Requirements: *** Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field required. *A minimum of 7 years hands on analysis and programming and experience, out of which at-least 3-5 years using Java, Struts, J2EE and other user interface technologies.* The candidate must be a technology-savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. We have a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in e-commerce applications development rather than financial sector application development which focuses on financial reporting and internal applications. Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include the following: - 7 years of analysis, design and application development expertise - Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in the development of enterprise applications utilizing software frameworks (e.g..: Must have strong Spring, Hibernate, Struts, and JUnit technology experience for implementing User Interface solutions). - Must have a clear understanding and hands on experience with web services and XML fundamentals. - Strong front end experience with emphasis on Web User Interfaces development: CSS, AJAX and Javascript - Web Services Integration - Systems analysis, design, hands-on development and software architecture proposals - Hands on experience with Java/J2EE development - Knowledge of the quote to cash business process a plus - Must have effective communication skills both written and verbal required to effectively present ideas and concepts to the user community. - Ability to work as part of a team, as well as with all levels of management.
