Job Role: Application Support Engineer



Location: New Jersey



Duration: 6 Months



Interview Mode: Telephonic + F2F



Requirement:





We are looking for curious and energetic Application Support Engineers with
a Linux background and knowledge of programming languages (Perl or Java
preferred, but Java/C++ is ok), data processing, web technologies, basic
system administration, and networking. As an open-source Perl shop, we
provide application support in terms of troubleshooting application, system,
and network issues, building tools to automate application support tasks,
and create appropriate documentation. We desire a candidate with strong
analytical skills, good communication skills and a good programming
foundation. Primary job responsibilities are but not limited to the
following: • Troubleshoot application issues • Troubleshoot basic system and
networking issues • Provide end-user support for existing applications •
Build tools to automate application support tasks • Document application
support procedures • Create custom data processing scripts per client
requirements



Skills Required



• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability
to apply technical analysis of application issues to solve customer reported
problems • Ability to communicate with non-technical users • Ability to work
well within a team to learn and share knowledge. • Knowledge of web
technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML/XML, Cookies, FTP/SFTP) • More than 2
years of programming experience (work/school) in one of the following
languages (Perl or Java (preferred), C/C++, PHP, Python) *****Client facing
experience is REQUIRED
