Description: A seasoned Cognos consultant is needed for the Strategic Laboratory Asset Management project with BMS R&D. This role requires extraction of data from multiple data repositories and consolidate into a reproducible format for . The extraction involves identification of appropriate database entities, identification of joining keys and necessary join conditions and basic data transformations, with minimum support from application owners. The position needs to work with senior management on daily basis for understanding data and reporting requirements. Proficiency in developing Cognos models using framework manager (5+ years) and Oracle SQL (7+ years of experience). Strong data modeling skills, ability to grasp new data models with little or no documentation. Experience with data transformations using Oracle SQL or ETL tools (5+ years). Experience in dealing with normalized and de-normalized data models, identifying redundancy and de-duping the duplicates in business data. Ability to extract meaningful data from databases having data quality issues.
