Understand and document business processes, data entities, data producers and consumers and the data dependencies between various departments. 2. Confer with business and technical partners, perform data analysis and data profiling, identify data quality issues, develop data model, Source-to-Target mapping specifications, document enterprise data repositories, and repository relationships. 3. Serve as a subject matter expert and participate in design reviews. 4. Develop and maintain data dictionary. 5. Assess data extraction, report generation, and defects appearing in operations involving the data warehouse. 6. Architect, design, and develop enterprise data warehouse components including databases and ETL using Informatica. 7. Architect, design, and develop operational databases required for BI applications. 8. Offer strong data analysis skills and experience with metadata management. 9. Other tasks may include: data mining & data profiling analysis, ad-hoc analysis, and researching data issues with business partners * * *Education:* 1. 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields with 5 years of software development experience * * *Qualifications: * 1. Exceptionally good verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable dealing with all levels of management when explaining business results and variances 2. 3 years of data warehouse or enterprise database experience 3. Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL languages 4. 2 years of experience creating software documentation for business or technology consumers and professional experience conducting requirement analysis 5. At least 1 year of software engineering experience in insurance industries and Business Intelligence experience is preferred 6. Provide technical writing skills, knowledge of principles, techniques, and best practices of enterprise data warehouse 7. Must have experience with data warehouse development including ETL using Informatica 8. Experience with OBIEE or other OLAP tools is required 9. Experience with EssBase or other MOLAP tools is a big plus ** 10. Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Siebel) is a plus ** 11. Extensive experience with data/transfers/sharing using flat files, DB links ** 12. Experience with Informatica or other ETL tools a plus ** 13.
