*QA Lead* Location: NY. Number of positions: 1 6 months+ Role: QA Lead Job Purpose: Design and lead the overall QA program for a specific project or engagement while also performing key QA tasks such as test script development and execution, defect tracking, test coordination, and test environment verification. Position Summary: Leads verification and validation activities across all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure that the software product conforms to the requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Perform Test Estimation, Test Planning, Implementation and Monitoring Quality Assurance activities in the project • Validate (test execution, defect detection and test results reporting) that the software performs according to requirements • Review and audit products and process artifacts to ensure adequate level of quality • Collect metrics, analyze defect trends, conduct root cause analysis by working with project teams • Identify Quality Assurance related risks & mitigation plans and assist project leaders in solving QA issues • Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: QA Analyst, Software Tester Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a college or university • 5-6 years of software development experience with expertise in testing • Excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Test Life Cycle • Basic SQL skills (basic queries and simple joins) • Sound analytical skills to identify failure points • Strong communication skills • Excellent Process awareness • Good understanding of requirements management, release management, change management, configuration management and environment management • Excellent ability to perform QA effort estimation Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Technical certification preferred Thanks!
