Position:SQL Developer Location:Nashville,TN Duration:3+months Job Description: The SQL Develop/ASP.NET developer will be responsible for working with Business Analyst from multiple offices to develop transactional database applications. The project will involve taking two legacy patient import/sample processes and integrating into a single platform. The project includes, but is not limited to, building systems and processes which would: accept patient files from hospitals via Web/FTP sites; import patient data into client databases; validate/scrub data and send alerts to sample team of any data issues using various rules to extract a representative patient sample. The client is a healthcare company who seeks collaborative individuals with top technical skills sets to work in a tight knit group. The work is challenging but fun. If you enjoy working in a team environment to develop new software and performance improving enhancements, this is a great opportunity for you. Key Skills: -- 5+ years experience with SQL including SSIS, SSRS as well as strong T-SQL skills -- experience with core Microsoft development languages such as ASP.NET as well as .NET and C# -- Strong team player with comprehensive SQL Database and ASP.Net skills Core Technical Skills: -- 5+ years database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS & Service Broker -- 3+ years experience with the following: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 or greater, ASP.Net and C# -- 1+ year agile development (e.g., Scrum) experience preferred Key Responsibilities: -- Ability to design and build high performing transactional database applications using Microsoft SQL Server & ASP.Net -- Develop migration scripts to move data from Oracle 9i system into SQL Server -- Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design -- Develop quality, defect free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards -- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions -- Ability to work independently to define and develop improvements to products and processes -- Adheres to corporate policies (e.g., time-tracking, punctuality, and utilization of various company productivity and tracking software) -- Be accountable to hiring manager, project manager and/or BA regarding status of all assigned tasks -- Able to work with multiple client resources resources in both local Nashville office and remote MD office.
