Job Role: Software Engineer ( Java) Duration: 9 Months Work Location: San Diego, CA Interview Mode: Face to Face required Visa Limitation: Citizens, Green Card Holder’s Preferred, H1-B’s Fine Too Looking for Java Engineers in CA or close to San Diego for a 9 month project. Visa limitation: Face to Face will be there GC & Citizens are always preferred, H1-B's are fine too. Job Details: The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of software for use as a desktop application used with genetic diagnostic devices. The software engineer will work with the software technical lead, software developers and testers to create Software requirements and design control documents and enhance the existing application through the addition of features and bug fixes. Responsibilities: * Designs and develops software in Java using Eclipse Plug-ins for desktop applications, instruments, databases, and BI analysis. * Tests and debug software. * Adheres to software development processes and procedures for regulatory compliance. * Interacts with developers and scientists to define requirements and create design control documents for software products. * Creates and reviews software requirements, designs and implementations. * Documents software. Requirements: * BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in industry is required. * Expert in Java SW Development. * Experience creating software designs control documents required. * Software Engineer with 3 years developing Java GUI applications is required. * Experience with unit test development is required. * Experience in structured software development processes. * Knowledgeable in the following languages, technologies or methodologies is highly desired: Hibernate, Spring, Scrum\ * Have excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and programmers. Any background in the biotech industry would be an advantage.
