Location: *McLean, VA*
Duration:  *12 months*

**

*Job Description / Detailed Statement of Work:*

-75% testing, 25% business analysis
-The Test Analyst will be responsible for executing the User Acceptance
Testing (UAT) efforts that will be impacted by the FHFA Program.
-Responsible for writing business requirements, planning and execution of
UAT through production validation.  Responsible for all baseline efforts
including procedure and process documentation and training on Business Area
applications that will be impacted by each initiatives.  The individual will
be responsible for establishing all mandated SDLC artifacts,adhering to
processes, gathering business requirements, creating and executing test
plans to ensure that all software changes satisfy requirements and meet all
quality control standards.  In addition, a project plan must be analyzed to
ensure project schedule compliance and to uncover any trends that could
threaten the success of any a release.

*Responsibilities:*
-Participate in Requirements and Design discussions with project
stakeholders
-Develop UAT test plans, create RTMs, and create test cases/test scripts,
defects
-Identify opportunities for test automation, test process improvements
-UAT test execution activities including tracking defects and reporting any
issues/risks
-Create test beds supporting the constructing of complex testing scripts,
integrating testing tool sets with the overall testing process, and
constructing automated test suites where appropriate.
-Execute manual and automated test cases and ensure capture of expected and
actual results for audit purposes
-Coordinate with project manager and business to identify business
requirements, create process specifications, coordinate with project team to
ensure that deliverables are met on plan.
-Full use and application Business Analysis standard principles, theories,
concepts, and techniques
-Create and maintain baseline procedures and process mapping for all
initiatives


*Must Haves:*
3+ years of experience gathering/writing clear concise Business Requirements

5+ years experience as a Test Analyst
3+ years experience in Functional and Regression testing distributed
web-based applications and/or complex financial systems
3+ years minimum SQL Skills
3+ years minimum Defect Tracking - Clear Quest or equivalent
3+ years minimum QA Testing - HP Quality Center or equivalent
6 mos - 1 yrs minimum UNIX

*Qualitative Skills:*
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
-Ability to identify and resolve conflicts
-Firm knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
-Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
-Solid knowledge of test methodologies

*Additional Tools:*
-Windows Operating Systems
-Previous experience with applications utilizing HTML, JAVA, J2EE, Weblogic,
Webmethods, XML, DB2, Oracle, and Sybase.
-HP Quick Test Pro
-Requirement Management - DOORS, Requisite Pro
-Code/Version Management – Clear Case
-Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project
-Test Automation experience with Mercury Quick Test Pro
-Test Certification from ISTQB, Mercury
