Position:Jr.java developer Location:Washington, D.C Duration:6+months Description: You will be a member of a team of Software Developers/Engineers designing, building, integrating and tuning all aspects of a robust information management system to maximize the effectiveness of data. You must be familiar with information management, have some exposure to relational database management systems (such as Oracle or SQL server) and be familiar with developing using Java/J2EE. We’re looking for someone who is driven and willing to expand his or her skills and be creative and inventive enough to implement new techniques for greater efficiency and performance. You must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability and be able to communicate effectively. Essential Functions: Design, build and improve upon scalable enterprise applications for client within the Defense Community Provide technical support for ongoing initiatives Recommend and design technical improvements to maximize productivity through data exploitation and management Drive projects from conceptualization through to successful deployment in an operational environment Leverage software development expertise to bolster capabilities and performance of ongoing initiatives Minimum Qualifications: Must hold a B.S. degree in a technical or mathematical field of study 2-3 years developing applications using Java/J2EE Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team Welcome Skills: Experience with Oracle Experience with .NET Thanks for your time!
