Job Title: Sr. WebLogic Server Administrator Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 3+ Months Contract Description: Experience with Weblogic, including experience with: * Creating and maintaining scripts for the deployment of Java applications into WebLogic cluster. * Produce documentation of configuration and deployment procedures for migration from development through production. * Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers, system administrators and DBAs to troubleshoot issues during testing cycles. * Execute deployments for all environments for the project. * Installing and maintain operating system and system software. * Implementing security controls on Weblogic domains. * Monitoring all aspects of server performance and availability. * Backup, restore procedures, security and patch management. * Training and support to users as appropriate. * Developing and maintaining system tools and scripts for automating or simplifying system administration tasks. * Capacity monitoring and planning. * Implementation of architecture requirements, complex system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for software integration. * Problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies. * Development of Enterprise-level infrastructure working with multiple back-end systems. * Assessing system performance against stated requirements. * Generates and reviews documentation and provide written and oral feedback on system requirements, code level reviews and design, system design documents, critical design review, integration, testing and other key development activities. * Apply Agile development methodologies for complex, state-of-the-art modules * Develop systems and design infrastructure necessary to support both business and technical integration needs. Minimum Qualifications: * Must be able to stop/start/reload/configure/troubleshoot all aspects of Weblogic Application Servers. * Must thoroughly understand how Weblogic Servers are administered in a Production environment using the WebLogic Admin Server/ Nodemanager/ Managed Server concepts. * Must be familiar with the concept of WebLogic Domains. * Must be able to configure Authentication/Authorization schemes for the WebLogic Forms and Reports in conjunction with Oracle SSO Server/ Oracle Access Manager. * Must be comfortable working in Virtualized environment using Red Hat Linux and Windows platforms. * Proficient in creating clear, well written documentation of Operating Procedures and training other team members. * 5+ years of administration & deployment experience with WebLogic Application Server preferably with an Oracle Database Server backend. * 5+ years Production administration experience. * Red Hat Linux experience preferred. * Weblogic administration * Java development * Unix shell scripting * ANT build scripts development * Some experience with usage of continuous integration tool (e.g. ANT, Maven) Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. * Exposure to and familiarity with data center design including systems, storage and networking. * A strong sense of urgency including self governance on task priority.
