*Radio System Manager *Location: *Annapolis, MD* Rate: *Open* *IN PERSON INTERVIEW IS A MUST!!!* *Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:* Two years’ recent experience (within the past 5 years) in the implementation of P25 digital trunked radio systems deployed in the 700 MHz frequency band that utilizes the Time Division Multiple Access (“TDMA”) technology. Two years’ recent experience (within the past 5 years) in the deployment of large scale 700 MHz radio systems that are analogous to statewide radio systems supporting first responders and public service personnel. Two years recent experience (within the past 5 years) with non-P25, phase II radio systems that may be integrated as key elements of a statewide radio system. *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* At least one year’s experience with Motorola ASTRO P25 systems. Extensive knowledge of FCC rules, particularly those found in Part 90 Subpart R (700 MHz rules), Subpart S (800 MHz) and Part 101 (microwave). Extensive knowledge of FCC rules, particularly those found in Part 90 Subpart R (700 MHz rules), Subpart S (800 MHz) and Part 101 (microwave). Understanding of the assignment of 700 MHz radio frequencies based upon the use of State channels as specified by the FCC in DA 01-406 as well as the Regional Planning Committee 20 Plan for 700 MHz spectrum. Experience negotiating frequency coordination among multiple jurisdictions, specifically across state borders for frequencies within the State’s 700 MHz frequency allocation. Experience with technical and regulatory issues relative to the deployment of public safety broadband communications. Up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory and industry issues related to deployment of public safety communications systems (both voice and broadband data), and have experience providing advice and guidance on the impact of said issues to state governmental agencies.
