The Healthcare business of client provides insights -- information, benchmarks and analysis -- that enable organizations to manage costs, improve performance and enhance the quality of healthcare *Responsibilities:* •Perform hands on development of application components using Java/J2EE, SOA, Oracle, Linux, and other technologies, including unit test code. •Mentor and challenge junior software engineers and other team members, while growing your own technical, functional and leadership skills. •Lead teams of 3 – 6 developers to achieve success in design, development and deployment activities. •Utilize an agile product engineering methodology while working collaboratively with a variety of product teams (data integration, quality assurance, configuration management, product management, operations). •Perform detailed documentation of design, development, testing and deployment activities necessary to ensure team knowledge sharing. •Transform business requirements into comprehensive solutions using the appropriate methods, tools and technologies. Analyze requirements and provide reliable estimates. •Provide technical input on hardware/software/network infrastructure for hosted, highly available, web-based applications *Qualifications:* •Outstanding communication skills (oral, written and presentation) and strong interpersonal skills. •Ability to lead a technical team to quality, on-time completion of deliverables is essential. •Solid experience building web applications using Java/J2EE technologies, including JSP, Servlets, JDBC, and web services. •Experience designing and implementing scalable, multi-tier web application hardware/software architectures including web servers, security solutions, clustered application servers, load-balancing network devices, capacity planning, etc. •Experience with Java development and build tools including Ant, Maven, JUnit, CruiseControl, Hudson, etc. •Experience with SQL and relational databases, particularly Oracle. •Experience with Business Intelligence and OLAP is a plus. Special consideration for experience with Cognos SDK development or Mondrian. •Require good knowledge of client-side web technologies (HTML, XML, AJAX/JavaScript, CSS). Flex is a plus. •Must be driven and eager, with an ability and willingness to learn and implement new technologies and software development techniques. •Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support).
