* * *Position: Team Lead Oracle Developer* *Location: Seattle, WA* *Duration: 6+ months* *Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* *Must have at least 2 current years of Leading Oracle PL.SQL Development team and have excellent comm skills.* • Designs and develops internal and external business systems/applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, or business intelligence systems, as required to deliver new systems functionality supporting corporate business objectives. The Developer 4 leads moderately complex projects, often mentoring and providing guidance to team members at a Developer 1, 2, or 3 level, and will work under the guidance of a Developer V on complex projects. - Translate business, and functional requirements into documented technical specifications. - Utilize development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results. - Develop application support documentation as required by the application support teams for acceptance of systems changes into production. - Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled systems enhancements. - Facilitate/lead reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team and development lead. * * *Must have expertise: (Must have solid, direct& current knowledge/experience)* • PL/SQL, (SQL Optimizer) • Datamart - large volumes of data • Must be very familiar and comfortable using hints& indexes • Performance Tuning *Functional/Technical Skills:* • Minimum 7 Years Application Development Experience • Minimum 7 years Oracle development (PL/SQL) experience with Min. of 3 years on Oracle 10g, 11g. The candidate must be an expert developing complex PL/SQL queries on the Oracle platform. • Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and developing applications on one RDBMS (Oracle or SQL 2000) • Minimum 7 years professional experience designing and developing applications on one operating system (Unix or Windows 2000) and designing complex multi-tiered applications • Expertise in performance tuning concepts and practices involving large-scale complex databases; experience in SQL optimization techniques • Experience in data architecture and logical data modeling experience • Has acted as lead developer on at least one project impacting multiple business units and provided technical leadership for at least 3 developers.
