Job Title: SAP ABAP with Java Location: Nashville TN Duration: 2+ Month Project * Responsibilities* Technical Assessments and studying core functional lines to see how new functionality changes will affect current and new applications, best practices and standards as it related to Web Dynpro, Java/J2EE/JSP, and ABAP technologies. Exposure to Travel Management / FI modules. Work with other project team members to implement integration between SAP Portal and SAP back end systems (R/3, BW, etc.) and integration with other non-SAP systems (e.g. SharePoint). Interface with business users to analyze business requirements and provide recommendations to create technology solutions. Participate in developing project estimates and planning activities. Create detailed designs and technical specifications to match functional requirements. Work with peers, infrastructure, vendors, and management as necessary to resolve issues and supporting implementation of Portal components into production. Assist in any troubleshooting of critical problems, performance tuning, upgrade/optimization decisions and so on to ensure optimal system performance. Significant interaction with Management, Business Analysts, functional team, security team, and fellow developers during the course of the job. Support user community in implementation of new systems and processes. Consult with the Team and Management to develop product strategy and roadmap. Provide Functional and Technical expertise to the team. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Possesses 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Portal team member in an SAP environment. Advanced knowledge of SAP Netweaver components, NWDI, SAP Enterprise Portal based on Web Dynpro, J2EE technologies (EJB, JSP, Servlet, etc.), JAVA, ABAP, IDE, browser technologies, internet, intranet, security, performance, operating system, database, system administration, and network components. Expertise of complex application architecture, application design and planning, and application performance and functional testing and analysis on SAP Portal technologies. Experience with Customization of standard SAP Components, specifically ESS and Portal related. Demonstrate knowledge of requirement specifications to perform formal and informal requirement reviews, define and negotiate acceptance criteria, and determine appropriate solution methodologies. Moderate degree of independent decision making required. Requires deep, intuitive analytical and problem solving skills to address and resolve technical issues in a limited timeframe. Proactive in the identification and resolution of issues that may negatively impact a project or deliverables. Ability to evaluate, analyze, design, install, test, integrate, maintain, modify, monitor and automate new systems software and/or hardware. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needs. English: Fluent *Additional Preferences* Expertise with Web Dynpro ABAP ABAP experience in the following areas: Data Dictionary, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI, IDOC, ALV programming, Classical and Interactive Reporting, BDC, SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, enhancement, User Exits, Dialog Programming, Interface/ABAP Proxy programming, LSMW, and BSP, and Function Module development.
