Job Title: .Net Developer Location: Des Moines,IA Duration: 3+ Year Project *Description:* Application development is done in a Microsoft .Net environment, primarily utilizing object-oriented VB.Net for middle-tier applications interfacing to Microsoft SQL Server. The individual selected will develop, enhance, and support new/existing applications as a member of the E-Services team. A primary responsibility will be development of applications to receive data in XML format, validate XML schema, send acknowledgements in XML format, process data in accordance with defined work rules, and move data to Department information systems. The individual selected will develop, enhance, and support new/existing web-based and Windows-based applications supported by the E-Services team. The individual selected will be expected to provide customer support in a professional manner, to understand the technical requirements placed upon customers, and to prepare clear, concise statements of business issues that require resolution by the application development team. *The individual selected must meet the following requirements:* Meet qualifications of an Information Technology Specialist 4 per State guidelines. Proficient in development of applications utilizing VB.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, C#, and JavaScript. Proven experience with XML. Proficient in relational database queries. Knowledgeable in data transformation, BizTalk preferred. Proven experience in the development of structured test scripts and plans for use in executing unit and system testing. Experienced in providing customer services support regarding data transmission and file formats. *Additionally, the individual selected must meet the following requirements: * Possess strong business writing and interpersonal skills necessary for customer contact. Be capable of completing multiple programming assignments in a timely manner (perform work as assigned). Adhere to Department and other written established work rules including all confidentiality and security requirements. Must pass a criminal background check. Must be up-to-date and in compliance with State of Iowa tax filing requirements. Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
