This position can be based either in northern New Jersey, or Los Angeles, CA. Position requirements: • Oracle DBA experience with 8+ years’ experience • Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle 11g R2 RAC implementation • Oracle standby experience with physical and Data guard • Strong database optimization and performance tuning skills • Experience driving Oracle implementations • Experience handling multi-terabyte databases • Hands-on experience with database upgrades from older versions to 11g • Oracle backup using RMAN • Strong knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting • This is a DBA position but Architect knowledge would be a plus…. • Strong knowledge of Oracle 11gR2 running on VM would be a plus • Experience with database migration from physical to virtual would be a plus • Knowledge of Oracle’s new features of 11g (RAT, RAC, DG, HA, partitioning, etc…) This contract is scheduled to run 6 months, but extensions are very possible – to likely.
