*Position : *Data Services *Location :* Elk Grove, CA *Duration :* 12 Months They are focused on: - Experience with Data modeling, Data Movement and Data Transportation - Some experience with JAVA Web Services and J2EE. (backend) - Ideal candidate must have large enterprise experience - BA in Computer Science or English is prefeered. - Experience with Data Warehousing and Data Modeling - ETL Experience is a big plus * * *Required Skills:* - Experience with Data modeling, Data Movement and Data Transportation - Experience with JAVA Web Services and J2EE. - Ideal candidate must have large enterprise experience - BA in Computer Science or English is preferred. - Experience with Data Warehousing and Data Modeling - ETL Experience is a big plus - Experience with data movement, loading and transformation logic in large scale multi terabyte Linux and Solaris systems. - Able to troubleshoot data quality, data model and process problems independently. - Able to consider scalability, reliability, usability and maintenance of design in a thorough and evidence based methodology. - Data modeling experience in warehousing and transaction systems. - Web Services implementation experience is highly desirable, as is ODI experience. - Expert knowledge of Oracle SQL and Java. - Experience with very large data sets (100s of billions of records), in high rate (tens of millions of transactions/hour) experience highly desirable. - ETL technologies and Oracle Golden Gate experience desirable - Excellent verbal and written communication (English) and be able to describe complex scenarios to management as well as other developers. - Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice. - Experience with a global company and virtual teams are required. *Responsibilities:* - Handling large amounts of data, understanding, designing and troubleshooting complex systems to move and provide data to our end users. - Ensuring applications have access to the data they need, in the timeframe they need it. - Monitor, tune and troubleshoot existing data pipelines and be a critical member of a team that designs and implements new solutions for providing data sources. - Work closely with DBA team as well as our Applications team, and must be able to speak DBA and Java fluently. - Work with he infrastructure team and support teams and must be able to translate requirements to them. - Take a project from start to finish, driving requirements clarifications, design, development, testing and deployment.
