The SQE will work in a cross-functional highly distributed team responsible for delivering SOA solutions to large, complex business problems in the areas of ecommerce, online identity management, access rights management and course/enrollment management. *Responsibilities *Experience writing test cases with Selenium is required. .Net testing experience is highly desired, yet not required. Works with the Software Engineering team to ensure delivery of fully tested, high quality software solutions in a timely manner. Contributes to user story and defect testing and verification, including test case creation, execution, analysis and results reporting. Participates in the design and development of automated test harnesses, for both web services (SOAP and REST) and user interface. Collaborates with developers and business analysts to define acceptance criteria for new features. Contributes to the development and maintenance of product quality metrics. Works directly with software developers, business analysts and product managers in requirements analysis, defect troubleshooting and problem diagnosis. Takes the lead role in investigation and diagnosis activities. Represents SQE at bug triages and diverse meetings with stakeholders, internal and external. Maintains a deep understanding of testing environments and contributes to the maintenance of the functional testing environment. Contributes to SQE initiatives and becomes familiar with new tools and frameworks. Provides support to integration testing activities with partner platforms. Participates in deployment verification, including test planning, execution (manual and automated) analysis and reporting. Participates of performance and system testing activities. *Qualifications *4-6 years of experience in software testing for enterprise-scale solutions. Proven knowledge of software development life cycle and QA processes. Deep understanding of testing practices for web services (i.e., SOAP and REST) and web applications. Knowledge of Acceptance and Behavior Driven Development practices and related tools, like Cucumber/Rspec, Fit/FitNesse a plus. Knowledge of automated web testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium). Reasonable knowledge of relational database systems, specifically Oracle. Knowledge of Linux platform. Experience with Agile practices and processes, a plus. College Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
