Hi everyone! This is a quick note to let everyone know that the switchover to axis.apache.org is almost finished, and to welcome you to the new mailing lists. You're receiving this if you were on any of the axis-related mailing lists at ws.apache.org.
For details, the JIRA issue defining what's been happening is here: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2441 The new SVN roots are under: http(s)://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/axis/ As per discussion before the actual move, we're going to try a "fewer mailing lists" approach to improve cross-project communication. The idea is that the Axis2 suite of projects (core, rampart, sandesha, kandula, savan, tranports) are pretty tightly related for each language, and if something's going on in one area, it's pretty likely that people in another area might need to track it. If this gets too noisy or too confusing, we always have the option to factor back out to more lists. So the lists are as follows: general@ : This is for project-related discussion, or for anything that doesn't directly fit into one of the lists below. EVERY committer should be on this list, and the public is welcome as well. private@ : This is for PMC member-only discussions. This really only gets used for private Apache business, security alerts, and things of that nature. If you're on the PMC, you're automatically on this list. java-dev@ : This is for all Axis2 Java development discussion, *including* Rampart, Sandesha, Kandula, and Savan, as well as the core and transports. java-user@ : This is the user list for everything Axis2-Java. This includes the core, Rampart, Sandesha, Kandula, and Savan. c-dev@ : This is for all Axis2 C development discussion, *including* Rampart-C, Sandesha-C, etc... c-user@ : The user list for all the C subprojects. axis1-java-dev@ : This is for development discussion around Axis 1.X, which we're currently planning to work on for a little while to fix bugs, then likely retire to the Attic after a final release, as there isn't an active development community at the moment. axis1-java-user@ : This is the Axis1 user list. If you have any questions or comments about the transition, please drop a line to the appropriate list, or to [email protected]. We're glad to have you and look forward to moving the Axis community fully into its new home over the next few days/weeks. Thanks, --Glen (currently acting as PMC chair of both groups)
