Dear Java-Experts

Can you please explain me which versionj of JDK I have to used for a
clean build and run of axis2, rampart and other modules

I like to do
$ mvn -U -Drelease clean install

For Axis2-1.6.0 and for Rampart 1.6.0
And then run/debug tem after deploying to an OpenVMS system

I ask this question because HP writes in its user guide to OpenVMS JDK
6.0

HotSpot VM Support
* The HotSpot VM for I64 systems does not support the Java Debug
Wire Protocol (JDWP) and the Java Debug Interface (JDI).

I want to run my Tomcat on OpenVMS 8.4 Itanium Version.
I have installed both JDK 6.0 and JDK 1.5.0
According to HP this JDK 6.0 HotSpot Machine seems not to be able to
listen on a debugger port, or how would you undestand what HP explains
above?

Maybe there is another OpenVMS / Java expert and can tell me how I best
approach to

a) Build axis2-1.6.0 correct? which version of JDK to use to later
debug axis2 and axis2-services running on Tomact.
b) Build rampart-1.6.0 correct? Which version of JDK to use later
debug all running on Tomcat

If axis2-1.6.0 and Rampart-1.6.0 builds and runs well on OpenVMs
JDK-1-50 then I do not have a remote socket based debugger problem.

But if either of the modules fail to run under a JDK 1.5.0 configuration
then I consider I have a debugger problem.
