The optimal solution would actually be to make Axis2 (or actually
Axiom) compatible with BEA/Oracle's StAX implementation. Axiom has the
necessary infrastructure (called "StAX dialects") to work around
issues with specific StAX implementations and I did the exercise for
IBM's implementation (XLXP). The reason it has not yet been done for
Weblogic is that the parser is not Open Source and nobody has
volunteered yet to implement the StAX dialect for it.

If you are willing to help with this, I can give you the necessary
information to get started. In this case, we should move the
discussion to d...@ws.apache.org, which is the mailing list for Axiom.
