I have the same problem - I wrote a message to this forum on this subject earlier this year. Unfortunately the problem is hard to reproduce. I have found this entry on the web which may help: http://amilachinthaka.blogspot.co.uk/2010/03/axis2-temp-files.html It is fairly serious because we have noticed that Tomcat severely slows down with time and that deleting these .tmp files restores its speed.
